Today as we celebrate the feast of St. Joseph the Worker, we are encouraged to fulfill our duties with perseverance and humility. Imagine being St. Joseph, sharing a home with two perfect human beings–he could have easily copped an attitude of false humility, believing that all he did paled in comparison to the perfection of his wife and foster son. Rather, he did what was his to do faithfully and joyfully.
An article by Leon Suprenant on St. Joseph the Worker from our Lay Witness archives upholds this great Saint as an exemplary model for fathers today.
For more information on St. Joseph the Worker, tune in to CUF president Mike Sullivan’s interview with Sheila Liaugminas on Relevant Radio tonight at 6:15.
