The Mass: What Catholics Do
By CUF Staff | February 1, 2011
Sitting on my desk, fresh from the printer, is the highly-anticipated book by Cardinal Donald Wuerl and Mike Aquilina, The Mass: The Glory, the Mystery, and the Tradition.
Split into two halves, the book first traces the origins of the Mass through history and then looks at the individual parts of the Mass, from the procession to the final blessing and dismissal.
With the new translation of the Mass just a few liturgical seasons away, this book will do well to remind Catholics of the timelessness of the “source and summit of the whole Christian life.”
This book is highly recommended both as a resource to answer questions on the Church’s Liturgy and as a devotional reading to help one better prepare to experience Heaven on Earth.
