    A Catholic Bishop Interviews Obama?

    By Sarah Rozman | February 13, 2009

Well, almost. Bishop Thomas Tobin of the Diocese of Providence conducts an imaginary interview with President Obama. Go read it. Just a snippet:

TOBIN: But the use of tax dollars to pay for abortions is very controversial. It’s a divisive policy. It violates the conscience of millions of Americans who respect life and oppose abortion. Isn’t that completely contrary to your goal of fostering unity in the nation?

OBAMA: Bishop Tobin, let’s be clear. I said in my inauguration speech that with all the problems our nation is facing we have to overcome narrow ideological positions and move beyond childish behaviors.

TOBIN: But, Mr. President, providing tax money to support abortion – isn’t that in itself an ideological position?

“OBAMA: Thank-you, Bishop Tobin. And please extend my appreciation to all my friends in Rhode Island who voted for me.”

      Fairly sharp.

      Cheers to Bishop Tobin!
Boldly going where no journalist has dared to go. Just a bit sad that it’s only an imaginary exchange.

I’m 82, recall CUF leader John L. Sullivan as a friend. I don’t see any late info about CUF here where Humanae Vitae has been rejected by bishops. So promoters of NFP get resisted instead of help, and holocaust continues of abortions, AIDS, STDs along with divorces. Now we have Obama-nation, and
“Catholic” politicians pro Roe v Wade! We need attention to Fatima (Mohammed’s favorite daughter)
and Rosary. Muslims deny Jesus was crudified, not Son of God. Promote Turin Shroud on the Web!
