What Does Holy Communion Taste Like?
By Sarah Rozman | December 6, 2007
Fr. Robert Pecotte, one of our regular Sunday homilists, emailed me from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where he is spending time with a 7-year-old girl who has inoperable brain stem cancer.
He related to me this brief but profound exchange: “When I asked [her] what she thought Holy Communion tasted like, she smiled and said ‘Love.’”
He continued, “Never in my life have I heard such an answer.”
She will receive the Sacraments of Confession, Confirmation, and Holy Communion today. Fr. Pecotte asks, “Please pray that God also send her the gift of miraculous healing today!”

What a wonderful gift from God. To be a priest is something that is incredible. To be able to go and be with such a wonderful family in such a serious situation and bring them the Lord! God is Good, to think that He chooses to work trough men?!
The Holy Mass was wonderful and giving Megan the sacraments was a tremendous blessing. St. Therese is her confirmation St, and I have every indication that she is working a miracle for Megan. Please continue to pray for her, especially through the intercession of St. Therese and St. Benedict.
In Christ,
Fr. Pecotte
