    Archbishop Dolan Called to New York

    Pope Benedict XVI has appointed Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan the next Archbishop of New York. Or, as Rocco Palmo headlined it, “Milwaukee Takes Manhattan” (reminds me of a chess match).
    Archbishop Dolan will be installed on April 15. He succeeds Cardinal Edward Egan, who reached the retirement age of 75 in April of 2007.
