The correct answer is both Siena and Rome (a and c). St. Catherine's head is in Siena and her body is in Rome at the church of Maria Sopra Minerva.

Joe .. on my opinion ... God made them holy ... they have been angels since birth and not promoted ... but that idea has a sense ... maybe its part of the central mystery of faith ...

"Except in European countries that are under significant modern American influence, there is no holiday in Europe quite like the American holiday of Halloween"
This statement is not true. In Ireland we have celebrated Halloween for millennia. This night in the Irish Language is known as Oiche Samhain.Yes today some aspects of our feast have been Americanised for instance children now say trick or treat when they go house to house. But when I was a child we said help the Halloween party. Children now get sweets but it was customary to collect fruit. Halloween is also a big Bonfire night for us. Our customs are slightly different, we did not have pumpkins etc. but we did dress up. We have always had a party afterwards with various games like snap apple. We also have a special dinner( at least in Dublin where I am originally from) It was a penitential dinner made up of mashed potatoes and Kale a type if Cabbage. This is throe back to the fact that a Vigil before a feast day was a fast day.As Young Ireland states above it was originally an Irish feast.

Great post. This is a very good explanation on the Catholic meaning of Halloween, and clears up a lot of confusion. One small thing though, it's originally Irish, but you're right it is more popular in America.

I'm wondering if the angels were once Saints first and then promoted to Angel. What do you think?
